Check SCHEDULE for Specific dates and times.

What time does the line start forming?

Early in the season, arriving anytime throughout the night is fine but the closer it gets to Halloween, the more crowded it tends to be so you may want to arrive a little earlier.

How long is the wait in line?

When you arrive, there is a separate line to PURCHASE tickets and a separate line to ENTER once you have your tickets.  The line is usually around 30 minutes earlier in the month, but when it gets closer to Halloween ( and ON Halloween) that wait could be much longer. TO SAVE TIME:  You can buy your tickets online to avoid the ticket booth line (which is usually the longest wait) and we also offer a FAST PASS which will put you at the front of the general admission entrance line. Fast Passes can be purchased online as VIP TICKETS or at the gates.

How long does it take to go through the haunted house?

That depends on many factors. First you must buy your tickets in one line, then wait to enter the haunt in the entrance line. Once you enter, it will be roughly 15-20 minutes depending on how fast your group moves. The lines get longer the closer it gets to Halloween.

If I have already bought my ticket and I am in line when the house closes, will I get a chance to go through?

Yes, we will stop selling tickets at close time but the house will stay open until the last patron in the entrance line has gone through.

Can I make a reservation?

No. We do not take reservations, however you can purchase a Fast Pass to skip the General Admission line. This can also be purchased online as “VIP Admission” or at ticket booth.

*For large groups / organizations, email vanessa@hauntedhotel.com or call the office 619-231-0131 for advance tickets and arrangements

What are the prices for the Haunted Hotel?

Again this is recommended for children 10 and older.

There are no children’s prices or refunds if they decide not to go through.

I bought my ticket online, will I still need to wait in a line?

Buying your ticket in advance will save you from waiting in the Ticket Booth line (which is usually the longest wait). You still will need to wait in the entrance line, unless you purchase a Fast Pass (VIP Admission) which allows you to skip the outside General Admission Entrance line.

What is a Fast Pass and how do I get one?

The Fast Pass allows you to go the front of the entrance line.

You can purchase a Fast Pass online ( it is included in the VIP Admission) or at the ticket booth (on busy nights) when you arrive at the house.

NO! And they are not allowed on the property, so please do not bring any.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is only allowed outside on the public sidewalk.

Can we take flash photos of your haunted houses?

NO photography of any sort is not allowed in the haunts. Haunted houses are dark and peoples eyes (especially the actors) adjust to the low light. When you flash your camera you’re not only ruining other customers’ experience but you’re hurting the actors’ eyes. Also, the fog used inside the attractions ruins flash photography.

Although no photography or videotaping is allowed inside (including nightshot), the monsters working outside will quite often pose for pictures.

No, that haunted house does not exist in San Diego. As far as we know, it is an urban legend.
